CC Marine joins Maritime Marine Supply

CC Marine is joining Maritime Marine Supply in a merger that will bring together two longstanding Canadian marine suppliers while preserving the CC Marine name and existing operations.

The company will move forward as CC Marine, a Division of Maritime Marine Supply, combining businesses whose roots date to 1932 and 1948 respectively. Together, they represent more than 170 years in the Canadian marine industry.

Ron Savidant, president of Maritime Marine Supply, said the deal grew out of a longstanding relationship with CC Marine and its president, Rick Chang.

“I have known Rick Chang and the team at CC Marine for many years, and we have always enjoyed a friendly and respectful relationship,” Savidant said.

When CC Marine’s ownership began considering succession options, Chang approached Savidant about the possibility of bringing the businesses together.

“We quickly recognized that our companies shared similar values, strong commitments to customer service and deep roots in the marine industry,” Savidant said. “From there, our conversations progressed naturally.”

CC Marine will continue operating from its current location, with an emphasis on maintaining continuity for customers, suppliers and employees. The company will also retain the CC Marine name, with customers supported by staff from both organizations.

One of the most immediate changes for customers will come November 1, when CC Marine customers gain access to Maritime Marine Supply’s full product catalogue and MMS Dealer Website.

That will open CC Marine customers to a broader inventory, including several brands distributed exclusively by Maritime Marine Supply in Canada, along with additional recreational and commercial marine products.

“This will provide customers with a significantly wider product selection, convenient online ordering, and the added support of MMS’s established distribution network,” Savidant said.

Maritime Marine Supply said the combination will strengthen its distribution network serving dealers, marina operators and service professionals in Ontario, Quebec, Atlantic Canada and elsewhere across the country. The Nova Scotia family-owned company will remain Canadian-owned and -operated.
