Overview
We are excited to announce that an opportunity has opened for a Marine Foreman. We are looking for an individual with a great personality, loves the Powersports/Marine Industry, who takes pride in their work, and who enjoys working with a great team.
Duties & Responsibilities
Team Management & Training:
• Hire, train, and mentor staff members.
• Ensure all team members receive necessary training and have access to required tools and equipment.
• Train and coach technicians on relevant systems, including Yamaha, Suzuki, Mercury, and other partner platforms.
• Monitor technicians’ daily work schedules and ensure completion of required training.
• Assess technicians' qualifications for certification or to challenge the Marine Service Technician (MST) Trade Qualifier Exam.
• Ensure lot attendants and detailers receive adequate marine-related training and necessary tools.
Operations & Coordination:
• Oversee daily shop operations, ensuring optimal capacity, safety, and efficiency.
• Ensure availability of necessary parts and equipment for scheduled jobs.
• Troubleshoot problems and find solutions with the assistance of the Operations Manager.
• Coordinate with other departments, assign tasks, and schedule service times.
Customer Service & Reporting:
• Ensure a customer-focused and professional team approach.
• Handle customer complaints or issues promptly.
• Work with the Operations Manager to develop key reports and efficiency measurements.
• Collaborate with senior management to achieve company goals.
Reporting Line:
• Reports directly to the Operations Manager.
Skills & Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Technical school training is an asset.
• Minimum 5 years of marine industry experience preferred.
• Experience working with Mercury, Yamaha, or Suzuki outboards (required).
• Experience as a Marine Foreman/Manager (preferred).
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Experience operating forklifts, cranes, and other marine-related equipment.
• Boat handling skills, including water testing, delivery, and launching.
Working Conditions
Compensation
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Compensation: $60,000 Yearly
*This position will include full benefits after 6 months of working.
