Overview

The mission of the Marine Sales Consultant is to build and foster relationships with our clients that goes beyond that of their ownership term. Shore Cycle & Marine
wants to be the “preferred choice” for all our clients and to offer them an ownership experience that goes beyond the initial transaction.

Duties & Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Marine Service Manager, primary responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Welcoming customers and gathering the required information to identify
the boat, outboard and maintenance work required.

• Advise customers on maintenance schedules, explain the importance of
maintenance based on manufacturers recommendations, sell services,
understands, and applies factory and aftermarket warranties.

• Recommends additional services.

• Completes walk-around, checks history for any recalls and campaigns and
provides customer with an expected time frame for completion.

• Verifies the scope of warranty coverage prior to the work being done and
ensure appropriate approvals are obtained.

• Monitors the progress of the work and keeps customers informed regarding
the status of their units.

• Keep service department forms, menus, and pricing guides up to date.

Skills & Qualifications

• Working experience 1-3 years in a customer service or sales position.
• Previous experience working in a marine as service writer or advisor
preferred.
• Able to work well under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail and customer needs.
• Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and
professionally always with great communication skills.
• Experience with CDK software would be considered an asset.
• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
• Must have valid driver's license.

Working Conditions


Compensation

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
