If you share our values and would like to work with a uniquely specialized organization, ABCO is presently seeking a Stock Room Clerk to join our growing team.

Duties & Responsibilities

-Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the Stock Room Clerk’s primary responsibilities will be to coordinate the receiving and shipping of merchandise within the ABCO stock room.

-They will be responsible for receiving the merchandise by checking and signing delivery slips followed by physically lifting and/or operating forklifts to load and unload materials to/from delivery trucks.

-They will enter receipts into the Event software in a timely, accurate manner and will prepare stock replenishment requisitions materials while also ensuring that storage areas are always organized and clean.

-The Stock Room Clerk will accurately prepare various shipping and customs documents using associated software. They will organize the distribution and shipping of merchandise by making necessary verifications against documents, preparing merchandise, and then moving merchandise to the correct location.

-Remaining current regarding all domestic and international material shipping rules and regulations will be required for this role. The Stock Room Clerk will seek the best value in materials in services by contacting third parties and will participate in various inventory counts and checks throughout the year.

Skills & Qualifications

-As the ideal candidate, you will have 4 + years of experience in domestic and international shipping while using a forklift safely.

-The candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Office as well as scanners. You’ll be knowledgeable of software such as Event as well as stock materials.

-Strong written and verbal communication skills are required for this role as well as the ability to follow internal processes and filing systems.

-The successful candidate will be organized, ensuring the accuracy of the completed product.

-They will be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

-Certificates in Forklift Operation, TDG, and First Aid are considered an asset.

-Training will be provided for this opportunity and preference will be given to candidates fully vaccinated for COVID-19.

Working Conditions

-You will be exposed to loud noise, dust, moving & vibrating machinery, heavy equipment, and industrial trucks, and will need to have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
