Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable Senior Specialist in Noise and Vibration to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Specialist, you will lead and oversee projects related to noise and vibration assessments, monitoring, and mitigation. The main focus is the design of vessels for compliance with stringent requirements pertaining to the environmental footprint both over and underwater.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Lead and manage noise and vibration assessment projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards
- Take leadership on the technical aspects of projects and delegate activities to younger engineers within the team
- Conduct comprehensive noise and vibration surveys, measurements, and assessments using state-of-the-art equipment and techniques
- Analyze data and prepare detailed technical reports, including noise and vibration impact assessments, predictions, and mitigation recommendations
- Provide expert advice and guidance to clients, project teams, and stakeholders on noise and vibration control measures, regulatory compliance, and best practices
- Stay updated with the latest industry standards, regulations, and technological advancements related to noise and vibration control from ships and marine traffic
- Participate in business development activities, including proposal writing, client meetings, and presentations which often require multidisciplinary interaction

Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Acoustical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field
- Extensive experience (at least 7 years) in noise and vibration assessment, monitoring, and mitigation in the marine sector
- Strong knowledge of acoustics, vibration analysis, and related scientific principles
- Proficiency in using industry-standard noise and vibration measurement equipment and software
- Familiarity with relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines related to noise and vibration control
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills, strong leadership, and team collaboration skills
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences
- Demonstrated project management experience, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
