Overview

Manage A.F. Theriault & Son Ltd.’s supply chain ensuring all projects receive their required products and services from outside sources in a timely and cost-efficient manner.

Duties & Responsibilities

-Identify, research, evaluate and select appropriate Suppliers and/or Sub-Contractors for products and services required by A.F. Theriault & Son Ltd. with a specific focus on reliability, quality and cost-efficiency;
-Work with Project Managers, Supervisors, Production Staff and Customers on identifying the required products and/or services and choosing the appropriate Supplier and/or Sub-Contractor
-Request, review and negotiate pricing and service contracts including delivery terms with Suppliers and/or Sub-Contractors
-Create purchase orders as required for products and/or services purchased and communicate with Project Managers, Supervisors and/or Production Staff on delivery expectations. Communicate with -Accounts Payables if prompt payment is required to receive products and/or services required
-Build and maintain meaningful, professional, long-term relationships with Suppliers and/or Sub-Contractors
-Build and maintain a Supplier and Sub-Contractor database complete with purchase records and related documentation
-Coordinate with Stockroom Manager and Personnel to determine and manage inventory needs
-Review with Stockroom Personnel and Production Staff any defects in products received by A.F. Theriault & Son Ltd. and work with Suppliers on appropriate warranty remedies if applicable
-Attend Trade Shows as required
-Deal with A.F. Theriault & Son Ltd. internal equipment in regarding contacting manufacturers, warranty, etc.
-Follow A.F. Theriault & Son Ltd. policies and procedures
-Capable of jumping into extra projects when required

Skills & Qualifications

-Have a broad knowledge of marine and industrial hardware, mechanical, electrical, etc.;
-Previous experience in a similar position a definite asset;
-Proficient in inventory management programs;
-Have strong organization and documentation skills;
-Excellent communication and negotiation skills;
-Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook;
-Able to seamlessly shift gears between tasks in a busy environment;
-Able to follow through with results;
-Able to write and speak with ease in both English and French (not required but considered an asset);
-Be candid, vocal, open and honest;
-Be conscientious about their work;
-Be tech savvy; and
-Be responsible, trustworthy, confident, unflappable, driven, efficient and cooperative.
