Overview
Duties & Responsibilities
- Work includes but is not limited to basic machine and hand tools, maintaining, repairing, and overhauling pumps, hydraulics systems, pneumatics, gas/diesel engines, valves, gearboxes, cranes, bearings, etc.
- Rigging, light fabrication, reading blueprints, preventative maintenance, performing shaft alignments.
Skills & Qualifications
- 2+ Years of mechanical experience in the industry.
- Experience includes but is not limited to; basic machine and hand tools, maintaining, repairing, and overhauling pumps, hydraulics systems, pneumatics, gas/diesel engines, valves, gearboxes, cranes, bearings, etc.
- Rigging, light fabrication, reading blueprints, preventative maintenance, performing shaft alignments.
- Ability to trouble shoot and problem-solve.
- Valid driver’s license.
Assets:
- Confined space entry/confined space rescue
- First Aid
- WHMIS
- Fall arrest
- Aerial lift operator ticket
- Forklift operator ticket
Working Conditions
Candidates must be comfortable with the following:
- Occasionally working on the road/away, travel is important to our job.
- Working in warm/cold environments. Occasional work in tight/confined spaces.
- Working under pressure of tight deadlines and producing quality work.
- Working as a team.
- Following all safety rules.
- Communicating with customers.
- Completing job reports.
