Stability Standards for non-pleasure vessels

What you’ll learn

Transport Canada’s Construction Standards for Small Vessels. TP 1332 states: “For monohull vessels [non-pleasure craft more than 6m in length] built after April 1, 2005 the use of the Standard ISO 12217-1 or the alternative standard set out in section 5.3 [of TP1332] is mandatory.”

You will learn how to access the ISO standards, what they are, and how they apply. You will also learn how to apply the alternative stability criteria described in Section 5.3 of TP 1332.
