MST Exam Preparation Session

The purpose of the workshops is to provide information to people who have been working full time as marine service technicians, providing service, repair, refit and upgrades to marine vessels, power and sail in the commercial and recreation marine sectors who wish to challenge for a Nova Scotia Marine Service Technician Certificate of Qualifications.

Those wishing to challenge the MST certification must demonstrate with documentation that they have at least 12,000 or more hours (approximately 6 years) working full time in the full scope of the new trade. Candidates can write the MST certification exam for a special reduced fee of $143.85 until July 1st, 2014.

There will be four information workshops presented at four different locations around Nova Scotia as follows:

September 25th
2 Burma Drive (the former Scotia Trawler / NSCC Heritage Carpentry Building) down at the end of Montague Street in Lunenburg)
1:00 pm – 4:00 pm

October 2nd
Room B147, NSCC Burridge Campus in Yarmouth
1:00 pm – 4:00 pm

October 9th 
The Canadiana Restaurant in Bayers Lake Industrial Park, Halifax
1:00 pm – 4:00 pm

October 16th 
The board room, NSCC Nautical Institute, Port Hawkesbury
1:00 pm – 4:00 pm

All workshops will run from 1pm until 4pm.
