Why bother with design?
If you’re building inspected boats, it’s a Transport Canada requirement to prepare and submit drawings before construction begins. And if you’re building uninspected boats, having them designed up-front can minimize nasty surprises during the build – and help you refine your quotes. Either way, having proper design and engineering done can save you money in the long run.
