Boats 2011! A Maritime Boatbuilding Conference on Innovation
Never before has the need for innovation been more important for the Maritimes’ boatbuilding industry than now. Significant factors such as environmental impact, a challenging economy, and fierce competition from Asia, are affecting the way boats have to be designed, built and outfitted if Maritime boatbuilders want to continue to win new orders for commercial and recreational boats.
The Nova Scotia Boatbuilders Association is holding a one-day conference on March 10th, 2011 at the Sexton Campus of Dalhousie University in Halifax to give boatbuilders, designers and supplieers a chance to hear industry leaders speak on new ideas in boat design, construction and outfit – with particular emphasis on the latest environmental thinking.
The conference will include a number of supplier exhibits, lunch, and a reception at the end of the day. It also provides participants with an excellent networking opportunity.
