Best Practices in FRP / Composites Repair Workshop

In the NSBA’s workshop series Herman will explain the differences of custom boatbuilding and production building.  Using an actual repair situation, Herman will guide participants through assessing the initial damage, looking for secondary damage, writing an estimate, the importance of documentation, scheduling, ordering materials, and the importance of health and safety.  For more information on both the Offshore Group and Herman, visit their website at www.offshoregroup.net .

About the instructor:

Offshore has been affiliated with the marine industry since 1985 and specializes in Structural Fibreglass Repairs.  It works with Boat Industry Leaders to help solve post construction situations including water intrusion sourcing, core saturation, laminate saturation, and ways of finding and eliminating water intrusion.  It has given training seminars on best repair practices to boat building personnel, marine engineers and architects.
