Tern Boatworks is located at the Gold River Marina, Nova Scotia. The yard specializes in new construction and restoration of traditional wooden boats, as well as those built in composites.

Current projects include the restoration of a 46ft Herreshoff-designed and built P class sloop, the construction of a 38ft lobster yacht from a bare fibreglass hull, and the building of a carvel-planked 34ft International One Design sloop.

Tern Boatworks also offers hauling, storage, and launching services.
