Company Details

In business since 1944,Snyder's Shipyard has built boats from 22' to 110' in wood and fibreglass. Their most recent launching was the 86' longliner Abigail Grace, the largest fibreglass boat of its kind built in Atlantic Canada.

The yard's diverse production includes the full size version of Theodore Tugboat, of children's television fame, and the traditional 55' topsail schooner Avon Spirit.

Snyder's Shipyard also did the most recent refit for the famous schooner Bluenose II

Snyder's current project is the construction of a 143ft. wooden schooner designed by William J. Roue: #17, also known as Bluenose IV. They are also the authorized builders of the Bluenose-class sloops.
