Where art and boat building merge

The Redden family; proprietors of Mahone Bay Boatworks, have been active artists and boat builders on the South Shore of Nova Scotia for two generations.  Ron Redden, a shipwright from the Halifax Dockyards and an internationally recognized sculptor of whales and dolphins, passed his skills and inspiration down to his children who carry on the tradition today.

Peter and Susan are proud to keep these artisan skills alive through their work designing and building the Redden Catboat 14, as well as through carving of marine art in hardwood.
